On a slightly unrelated note, Y’all remember when mosh pits weren’t about physically attacking another fan and It was that damn Samsquanch shirt if some of dropped you picked his sorry ass back up? Maybe I’m just showing my age. Respect used to be relatively normal. I go tomahawked once and went down hard (I’m tiny.) I awoke to like 6 dudes helping me up, then they moshed around me in a circle of protection all night. And not a word was uttered. It was beautiful.
It was that damn Samsquanch ladies v-neck
I was agreeing with you, Jennifer Caudell! I’m 29 and used to go to shows when I was in my teens/the early twenties. Maybe it was the right shows, maybe just the right people…but we were all there to have a good time. Rage, but respect. If you came to a show with the intentions of hurting people…you would get hurt or booted. Not saying everyone was good and respectful because I was sure as hell singled out a few times..but it existed. And today’s families remind me of that. Those of us who grew up and exemplified care while still going hard as shit.
