How about just kill Rey and move on without a second thought so that the character and actress are quickly forgotten? You know what I don’t care about when I’m watching Star Wars? I don’t care where characters stick their dick. Star Wars isn’t a love story stop trying to turn it into one. If you think that was a love story, you have seriously low standards on what constitutes a love story. Repeatedly saying I love you in different ways and talking about fucking and does not a good love story make. The first trilogy came out, Darth Vader had no back story. Until the prequels came out, we didn’t know about his motivations.

That doesn’t matter. In the first trilogy, there was still the Han and Leia romance, plus the creepy incest romance between Luke and Leia during A New Hope and the Empire Strikes Back. You can deny it all you want bro, it won’t make it go away or magically change. I’m not saying it was the best, or that I prefer it, I just don’t deny its existence. How about neither? Not like Rey needs to be hooked up, and a lot of the Star Wars movie fans won’t react well to a gay protagonist. Now Legacy fans, we’ve seen everything so what’s one more. Personally, Star Wars doesn’t really need a love story in it. Star Wars frankly doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to romance. It is not a high point of the series in all honesty, and the Poe some sugar on me guys v-neck thought of a new one doesn’t fill me with any kind of joy. I agree with Mathew, love stories are endearing and all but I feel a story about strong characters in their own right don’t need a sexual identity, either way, to make their personas great.
